Use **Settings > Members** in the selected organization to invite teammates
and manage their roles. An invitation must be accepted before it becomes an
active membership.

## Understand who can manage members

Member administration requires an **Admin** or **Owner** role. The role hierarchy
is **Owner > Admin > Developer > Viewer**. The member-management controls let
you assign roles below your own and manage members below your own role:

| Your role | Roles available to assign |
| --- | --- |
| Owner | Admin, Developer, Viewer |
| Admin | Developer, Viewer |
| Developer or Viewer | No member-management controls |

This hierarchy means an admin cannot change another admin's role, and an owner
cannot use this menu to change another owner's role. Internal Judgment-admin
privileges are separate from these customer organization roles.

## Invite a teammate

1. Select the intended organization and open **Settings > Members**.
2. Select **Invite members**.
3. Enter the teammate's email and choose an available **Role**.
4. Select **Invite** and verify the email and role in the members table.
5. Have the teammate follow their invitation and confirm that the organization
is available to them. Check that the table no longer shows a pending
   invitation for their membership.

If an invitation already exists for that email, submitting it again updates
the pending invitation's role. Use the invite form for this change; **Change
role** applies to active members.

## Change a member's role

Open the active member's row menu and select **Change role**. Choose an
available role and select **Update**. Verify the new role in the table.

If the action is missing, compare the member's role with your own before
assuming the page failed to load. Equal or higher roles cannot be managed
through this menu.

## Remove a member or invitation

- For an active member, open the row menu, select **Delete Member**, and
confirm. Verify that the membership disappears from the table.
- For a pending invitation, select **Delete Invitation** and confirm. Verify
that the invitation disappears; this revokes that pending invitation.

Removing a membership changes access to this organization. It does not delete
the person's Judgment account. Check the selected organization and email
before confirming either action.

## Troubleshooting

- If **Invite members** is absent or a row says **Admin only**, use an account
with admin or owner access to this organization.
- If a role is absent from the picker, it may be equal to or above your own.
- If a teammate cannot see the organization, check the invitation email and
whether they accepted it with the intended account.
- Do not rely on **Copy invite link** as a customer-admin workflow; that action
is restricted to internal Judgment administrators.
